Archiving Policy
Al-Irsyad: Journal of Islamic and Contemporary Issues (IJICI) stores back issues and current articles following LOCKSS program of keeping lots of copies of our items on several servers to keep them safe. All of them are digitally submitted to National Library of Malaysia and periodically harvested by OCLC WorldCat. Published issues are also sent to MySitasi an online system used by Citation and Infometrics Center (formely known Malaysia Citation Centre (MCC)) to collect and index all the Malaysian journals. IJICI also implementing PKP Private LOCKSS Network (PLN) preservation function as can be seen in The Keepers Registry record here.
To ensure uninterrupted access to the IJICI’s content, an electronic backup will be systematically maintained within the Universiti Islam Selangor Library Archive (https://library.uis.edu.my/Home/Page/136). This initiative guarantees the establishment of a permanent archival record, thereby safeguarding the IJICI’s intellectual contributions for long-term preservation and scholarly use.
